State Representative Robert L. Turner was elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly in 1990, and has been re-elected to ten subsequent terms. Turner has served as Assembly Democratic Caucus Chair 2003-2004 and 2005-2006 Legislative sessions. The 61st Assembly District is an urban district comprised of roughly the eastern half of the City of Racine, Wisconsin (population 85,000). Turner is the chair of the Assembly Committee on Criminal Justice and also is a member of the Committee on Veterans and Military Affairs, Committee on Housing and the Committee on Judiciary and Ethics.
